Michigan Mule Cocktail Recipe

Michigan Mule cocktail or mocktail

I am a Michigan girl at heart. I was born and raised in a small town in the Southwest corner. My kitchen is decorated in apples and I love apple cocktails, hence my Michigan mule cocktail recipe.

My Michigan mule cocktail came about when I received these adorable copper Moscow Mule mugs. I am not a huge vodka fan so I decided to create a drink with my favorite liquor, Crown Royal Apple. You can substitutive the whiskey for an apple vodka if you would like, or really any apple liquor. These cups are nickel on the inside. They are insulated so they keep your beverages cold or warm. Caution don’t use for hot drinks, the metal could get hot and burn your hands.

I was excited to learn that these will patina over time. However you can visit their website for directions to keep that copper color fresh.  These are a hand wash only cup but worth the small effort for the sparkle of copper in these Moscow Muled Mugs.

My Michigan mule recipe can be an adult beverage or for the kids without alcohol. To make a Michigan Mule mocktail omit the crown royal and add a few extra splashes of apple juice.

Michigan Mule Cocktail Recipe:

Ingredients:

6 ounces apple juice

6 ounces ginger beer

1-2 ounces crown royal apple (leave out for the kids version)

Apple slices for garnish.

Directions:

Mix together ingredients and serve over ice. Enjoy!
