Baked Jalapeño Poppers

One of my favorite appetizers is Jalapeno poppers, especially the ones with cream cheese. The heat from the Jalapeno peppers with the creaminess of the cream cheese puts me in a yummy state of bliss. I have to double the recipe to make it work for our large family. The best thing about these Jalapeno poppers is they cook in 10-15 minutes in the oven. Baking food is so much healthier than deep frying.

This recipe is part of Sunday Suppers Easy Football Food Ideas for Game Day below this recipe you will also find a bunch of other great recipes perfect for your game day table!

Baked Jalapeño Poppers Recipe:

Ingredients:

6-9 Jalapeños
1 package cream cheese
2 eggs
3/4 cup bread crumbs
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425. Cut Jalapenos in half and remove seeds. Place in a pot and cover with water. Place on stove on high and cook until it reaches a boil. Shut off drain and let the peppers cool.

Cut cream cheese block into pieces and squish one into each jalapeno half

Mix eggs together in a bowl. In a separate shallow bowl place bread crumbs.

Dip each jalapeno into the beat eggs, shake a little to remove excess (cheese should stay). Next roll in the bread crumbs and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown #homemadeYUMMY
