A Dangerous Product

As my regular reader know I get products and do reviews on them. Letting you all know which ones are good and some that are even great. I have come across some odd things that were very interesting or wasn’t the greatest products. Well I have come across one that is down right dangerous. I first thought of just declining the product. Then I realized on top of it not working very well it was a safety concern. So I choose to write this and make people aware.
The product is called a SuperSwizz Spiral Slicer. The grips to hold the product are a thin metal. As you grip it to hold the product secure in your hand (like to spiral carrots) the metal pushes into your fingers and palm. One little slip and you would have a severe cut on your hands.superswizz slicer
Another problem I found that they boosted cutting carrots and zucchini. So I went right to the fridge and pulled both out. The zucchini did cut as it said. but the carrots never even came out close. They cut in pieces a little bigger than my grater would do.
Along with that I found a second danger. There is basically a blade running down the inside “cone” on each end. The blade goes down the entire side, yet only cuts at the bottom third or maybe half. The top part that isn’t used is now easy for your fingers to access, YIKES! It comes with a guard that I couldn’t get to work very well. It needed to go into the cone area to help.
SuperSwizz Spiral Slicer also wasted a big portions of the veggies. It was also difficult to clean, although it did come with a little brush that helped. I was overall very displeased with this product. I actually ended up throwing it away as it was to dangerous for any of us to use.
I would NOT recommend this product to anyone!! I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
