Fast Fabulous White Lasagna
Our family isn’t the biggest fans of red sauce. We love white pizza too! So you don’t know what white lasagna (or pizza) is? Instead of a tomato based red sauce, we use an alfredo sauce. One of my daughters recently had this for he birthday dinner. It is so fabulous! This also cooks fast! Fast Fabulous White Lasagna will probably be a family favorite for your world too! You can skip the spinach or even add onions and mushrooms! We make it different almost every time. I even like to add yellow squash and zucchini sometimes. YUMMY!
Fast Fabulous White Lasagna
Ingredients:
2 pounds of sausage (you could use chicken breast too)
2 jars alfredo sauce
1 cup milk
2 large bags of frozen spinach thawed and squeeze out all liquid
2 pounds of shredded mozzarella
1 pound ricotta
2 packages oven ready lasagna noodles
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425. Cook the meat you choose until tender and no longer pink. In a bowl mix together the alfedo sauce and the milk. Now pour a thin layer on the bottom of a rectangle casserole pan.
Now add a layer of noodles and a very thin layer of sauce. Then a layer of the ricotta cheese. Place small dabs all over the noodles, they will spread out as it cooks.
Now add a layer of the cheese. Next layer on some of the meat and the spinach.
Add another layer of noodles and pour over another layer of sauce. Continue with the ricotta, then cheese, meat, spinach, noodles and sauce for a total of 3 layers.
Finish it off with a layer of sauce and a layer of mozzarella. Bake for about 40 minutes.I always put foil or a cookie sheet underneath the pan. It tends to leak over a little. It should be all bubbly or even oozing over the side! Serve and Enjoy #homemadeYUMMY
