Corned Beef Hash

Corned Beef Hash is a favorite of mine but I must be honest. Prior to this post I had only had it from the can! I decided to jump in and try it without my can opener. I am so happy that I did. Corn Beef Hash is so much better without the can flavor!

Corned Beef Hash from the can it looks like dog food. The flavor isn’t really that great but it reminds me of my mom making it for me. That is not the case in my homemade version. I love the salty flavor the corned beef adds to the potatoes. `You can use leftover corned beef from my recipe of Corned Beef and Cabbage

Corned Beef Hash Recipe

Ingredients:

About 1 pound Cooked corned beef
About 1 pound potato
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Directions:

Dice the corned beef into bite sized pieces. Place in skillet on medium high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally while you do the next step.

Depending on the type of potatoes you use you may want to dice them. The goal is to have similar sized potatoes and meat. I sliced mine because I only had baby potatoes in my house.

Add the potatoes to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes stirring once.

–

Stir in the onions and salt.Reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook for 15 minutes stirring about every 3 minutes. Serve hot and Enjoy!
