 Taste of America Burger Recipe

Taste of America Burger was created as a thought of the United States and the different flavors all over.  I am from the North but have lived in the south so long that I feel like a southerner. The Pacific Rim Ginger is an amazing sauce from my friend out west Saucy Mama. I decided to put this all together into an amazing burger that is a taste of America!

The pulled pork is cooked in the pressure cooker and can be done the day before. It is an orange BBQ sauce that my family loves. The Broccoli slaw is made with a precut bagged mix. Its really much simpler than it looks and it tastes so phenomenal.  Try adding this Taste of America Burger to your summer menu!

Taste of America Burger Recipe

Ingredients:
2 pounds boneless pork roast (I used a butt roast)
1 small chopped onion
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon orange zest
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon Chile powder
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
12 ounces package of Broccoli slaw
1/2 cup Pacific Rim Ginger Dressing by Saucy Mama
3 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup Pacific Rim Ginger Dressing by Saucy Mama
8 slices thick longhorn Colby cheese
8 fresh hamburger buns
Directions:
Cut pork roast into 2 inch pieces and place in a pressure cooker along with the onion,
tomato paste, vinegar, molasses, honey, Worcestershire, paprika, orange zest, garlic,
Chile powder, and orange juice. Cook with pressure closed for 45 minutes. Let pressure
release naturally. You can make this ahead of time. Place Broccoli Slaw in a medium bowl and pour over the 1/2 cup Pacific Rim ginger
dressing. Set aside to marinate in the fridge.

Add the remaining Pacific Rim ginger dressing to the burger meat and mix well. Shape
into 8 even burger. Grill on each side for about 4 minutes.

Place the bottom bun on a plate top with the burger, then a slice of Colby cheese, next a
heaping pile of the pulled pork. Now add a pile of the broccoli slaw and the top bun.
Serve and Enjoy!
