Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls

#FallFamilyMeals

Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls

Fall family meals are a favorite of mine. I love the cozy foods that come with this time of year. The problem is a lot of cozy food take a lot of time to make. This year I am really busy as I am hosting the BIG family Christmas at my house. I am trying to make Thanksgiving a little simpler so I can save all my energy for the big party.
I found a great new twist to the sausage balls that I normally make. Pillsbury added Crescent rolls to the sausage & cheese balls and made them into an easy new appetizer I can make that doesn’t take a lot of effort. I whipped these babies up in 20 minutes from the start of reading the recipe to the time we were eating them!
I found the recipe at pillsbury.com and then I went to Winn-Dixie and got all my ingredients on sale! Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are on sale this week $6 for 3 packages (11/11-11/24) Want to save even more? Head to Winn-Dixie or  Bi-Lo and get a coupon for $1 off 3 cans! There are also lots of other great coupons at the link. The recipe is posted at the bottom of this page although I did change the recipe up a little. The original called for dried Rosemary leaves, crushed. I don’t care for rosemary very much so I used Italian Seasoning instead. That is the beauty of this recipe, you can adjust the seasonings to the ones you like. I thought fennel seeds would be great too!
