Mayonnaise Cake
A delicious moist chocolate cake. The chocolate flavor is rich and decadent. Mayonnaise replaces the eggs and oil and makes this cake the best chocolate cake ever.
- 1 1/2 Cups Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
- 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 1 1/2 Tsps Vanilla
- 3 Cups Flour
- 2/3 Cup Cocoa powder
- 3 Tsps Baking soda
- 1 1/2 Tsps Salt
- 1 1/2-2 Cups Water
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour your pan or pans. I added cocoa powder to my flour so I don't have one on my finished cakes
In a medium bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl combine mayonnaise, sugar, and vanilla.
Using an electric mixer alternate adding dry ingredients and water into the mayonnaise mixture until all the dry is incorporated.
You want the batter the flow nicely off the beater blade when you stop.
Pour into prepared pans. I bang them on the counter a few times to get out any large bubbles.
Bake for 22-27 minutes for 3 round cakes or 30-40 for a 9x13 pan. Cool, frost and enjoy!
