Free Food for the Community,

Fruits and veggies can be expensive. Imagine getting them for free. Ok stop imagining now and get to work in your community. There are community gardens popping up around the country. I have one in my current neighborhood and one is coming to my hometown that could use an #UltraHug
My hometown Allegan, Michigan is getting ready to launch a new community garden on a vacant lot by Allegan Parks and Commissions! The garden will have raised beds with wood chips from brush in between beds. The best part of the garden is that there are no fee’s to use a bed or to pick anything. The only thing that is asked is that if you take something, tend something. So you can simply water or pull a few weeds to be able to get some free food.GardenLot
We have a community garden in my neighborhood and my children have always enjoyed going up there and working. We have gotten to help grow and pick some vegetables that I wouldn’t of grown at home like eggplant and asparagus. I believe there should be community gardens every few blocks! Wouldn’t that be amazing!
You can actually help with the Allegan Community Garden. Either with time, money, or simply voting (voting starts July 6th) for William and I in the “Spread the Love with Walmart and Huggies”. You can also nominate Positively Allegan (or another great community project) with the #UltraHug on either Twitter or Instagram.

You can also try out Huggies diapers from Walmart. I recently went and did just that! I saved some money by getting my Huggies diapers at Walmart too! Huggies Snug & Dry diapers work great; they can even handle my grandsons heavy wetting over night! We haven’t had a leak yet!

To give time or money directly to the Allegan Community Garden please contact Kelsie King  269-673-5511 ext. 233 or kking@cityofallegan.org

Today’s post is sponsored by Huggies, by my love for their Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers is all my own!”
