EASY Peppermint Bark Candy

Peppermint bark is the easiest candy you can make. It can be made in the microwave or in a double boiler. I prefer the double boiler method, to microwave chocolate start at 30 second intervals two times and then 15 second intervals until it is melted.
Peppermint Bark Candy Recipe:

Ingredients:

photo
1 pound Chocolate bark
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
1 pound white bark
24 candy canes crushed (more if you desire)
Directions:
Melt chocolate bark and bittersweet chocolate together in the double boiler.(or see microwave directions above) Pour onto a sheet pan lined with wax paper. Set aside to cool COMPLETELY. If you’re in a hurry you can place in the freezer and it will set up in about 15 minutes. Chocolate layer
Now melt the white bark in the double boiler. Pour this onto the chocolate layer. Quickly spread the white layer evenly and then immediately top with the crushed candy canes. Press them down gently to help set them. photo 2
Let the white layer set up now. Once its cooled and hard score the bark. This is making lines where you want the layers to break. You only cut a little way through the white layer in both directions. scoring chocolate
Now break the chocolate along those lines

In both directions and ENJOY!
