Bleu BLT Wedge Salad

Bleu BLT Wedge Salad is a favorite in my house. I can’t help but love the look of a wedge salad. Add in some bacon, tomatoes and homemade Bleu cheese dressing and I am on cloud 9. I love salads and I also love a BLT, hence this salad. It combines two of my loves into one delicious salad.

My Bleu BLT Wedge Salad has a swirl of balsamic reduction that gives this salad a little sweetness. The flavors all blend so well you will want to eat a second one. Serve a Bleu BLT Wedge Salad to your friends and family while they all wow over how stunning it looks.

Bleu BLT Wedge Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

Bleu Cheese Dressing:
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
4 ounces Bleu Cheese crumbles
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
3-5 tablespoons milk
Salad:
1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into 6th removing core
1 purple onion sliced
1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 Roma tomatoes, sliced and then cut in half
4-6 teaspoons balsamic reduction

Directions:

In a small mixing bowl, add the sour cream, mayonnaise, Bleu cheese, salt and pepper. Once combined slowly add the milk until you reach the consistency you like. I like mine thicker so I only added 3 tablespoons.

Start with the balsamic reduction. Swirl it around the plate, it also looks nice with a zig zag. In the center of the plate add a triangle shaped bed of bacon. Add three purple onion rings. Place the wedge of lettuce on the onions. Line the tomato slices around the wedge of lettuce.

Top with the Bleu cheese dressing. Serve and enjoy immediately.
