Triple Apple and Honey Applesauce
Triple Apple Honey and Applesauce was created to go with my New Years Day Dinner. I made a delicious 7 pound pork tenderloin with some stuffing and collard greens. This applesauce was the perfect compliment to the pork. We actually didn’t even eat that special meal until 2 days after New Years Day.
My mom used to come down to Florida and stay with me from Michigan each spring for over a month. EVERY time someone said something about pork my mom would say “pork chops and applesauce” in this really crazed voice. Now that she is gone and I miss her like crazy I remember this and say it myself each time I say “pork chops” I also added to it and actually serve applesauce with my pork. You should try it sometime, its really quite amazing!
My Triple Apple and Honey Applesauce is easy to make. I choose granny smith for their tartness, pink ladies for their sweetness, and gala because its a stable cooking apple. I was only going to use one kind of apple but I couldn’t decide between them. Triple Apple and Honey Applesauce is delicious either hot or cold and can be served smooth or chunky. The choice is yours. I choose to have mine chunky and we ate it hot with our pork, cold for the leftovers.
