Gyro Burger with Greek Fries

My Gyro Burger with Greek Fries is a wonderful Mediterranean treat. The burger patty is made very similar to an authentic gyro meat. Tzatziki sauce in this recipe is perfect for those with lactose issues; it’s not yogurt but instead it’s Hellmann’s mayonnaise! I added a Greek relish to this burger and why not add some Greek fries.

And don’t you dare call these French fries because these are Greek fries. The difference is in the soaking, oil, and cooking process. To make Greek fries you must peel your potatoes and then place them whole in cold water for a hour. The next different step is the choice of oil. For these you want extra virgin olive oil. You cook the Greek fries in skillet with just enough oil to cover the potatoes.
