Taco Salad #Recipe
Taco salad in our house is a go to meal when we are running late on making dinner. My taco salad recipe only takes a few minutes to make and its a filling tasty meal. Using Doritos tricks the kids into thinking they are just having junk instead of a salad.
You can add more or less than what I have listed. Sometimes we add guacamole and black olives too. Just depends on what I have on hand. The black beans can be omitted but I like them as a filler. They add protein without adding more meat. Its a cheap way to make meat dishes go further.
Taco Salad Recipe:
Ingredients:
1-1 1/2 pounds ground beef
(optional) 1 can black beans (15 ounce) drained, not rinsed.
1 package taco seasoning
1/2 bag of Doritos or tortilla chips
1 cup shredded cheese I like colby jack for this
1 bag of Lettuce
1 tomato chopped
1 small chopped
1/2 – 3/4 cup sour cream
1/2 – 3/4 cup salsa
Directions:
In a skillet, brown the beef. Drain and add the beans. Follow the directions on the taco seasoning packet.
In a large bowl crunch the doritos, add the ground beef mixture. Top this with the cheese. Add the lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream, and salsa. Toss/gently stir to combine. Serve and Enjoy. #homemadeYUMMY
