How to make Rubber Band Bracelet Loom Pattern
My kids are all going nuts for those rubber band bracelets. Even the girls in both my Girl Scout troops want those silly rubber band bracelets. So I went to the store and saw the loom was almost $20. YIKES!! I needed to have at least 6 of them but really needed 12. So I came up with my own. I made 11 looms for about $25. Thats only a little over $2 a piece! These are directions on how to make a rubber band bracelet loom easily and cheaply!
I started with a 1x4x12 I had that cut into 13 inch sections. Lowes did it right there in the store. I then went to the dollar store and picked up some push pins. Next up the crochet hooks. And finally the rubber bands. I ordered mine off of Amazon (link below)
DIY Rubber Band Bracelet Loom
Supplies:
1 board at least 4 inches wide, and 13 inches long. (needs to be thick enough that the push pin doesn’t go through)
36 push pins
Hammer
Measure tap
Pencil
Sharpie
Directions:
Measure across the board and mark with the pencil the 1 inch, 2 inch, and 3 inch marks going down the length of the board. This keeps your lines straight for the pins.
Next step is to mark where the pins will go. Place the measure tape down the length of the board. Going down the center of the board are the 2 inch pencil marks. With the sharpie mark dots each 1 inch all the way down to 12 inches; you should have 12 dots.
Now move over to the 1 inch pencil marks. This time mark dots every 1½ inches all the way down to the 12½ inch mark. You will again have 12 dots. Now repeat this step on the 3 inch pencil marks.
Now very gently hammer the push pins into each one of the sharpie marks.
Notice that the center row is taller on one end, mark that end with an S for start. Or however you want to mark it.
That’s it! Erase the pencil marks and your ready to go!
