Oven Chicken Nuggets
My family loves chicken nuggets. They remind me of getting McDonald’s special when we would drive to Kalamazoo. Hot and crunchy nuggets, add with it fries, a soda-pop and a toy, and you’ve got kid heaven. As a mom, chicken nuggets are evil. Full of grease, fat, salt, and lord knows what else. That is why we made the oven chicken nuggets recipe. Very little just a sprayed down pan instead of oil, and a bread crumb coating that is crunchy and delicious! Try some oven chicken nuggets this week!
Oven Nuggets Recipe:
Ingredients:
3-4 boneless chicken breasts sliced into nuggets (slightly frozen cuts best) see Tip me Tuesday
4 eggs
4 tablespoons milk (or salad dressing, I used ranch)
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp salt and pepper
Oil or cooking spray for pan
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425. Slightly oil cookie sheet. Mix the eggs and add milk stir to combine, this is the wet.
Meet the dry; Mix together the flour, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dip the chicken (you can do a few pieces at a time) in the wet. Slightly shake off excess. And place it in the dry. Using your other hand put some flour over the nuggets and flip.
Shake off excess dry mixture from the nuggets and place on baking sheet. Continue these steps until the cookie sheet is full. Place in oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden and done.
We ate our oven nuggets with eggplant fries recipe here: Eggplant Fries . We dipped our nuggets in homemade ranch dressing and BBQ sauce. (Soon I will get those recipes written). Hope you enjoy!
