Learning that is a game!

~This is a sponsored post from PowerMyLearning~
Learning that is a game! PowerMyLearning is an educational game site for k-12th grade. The site offers games for Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Art & Music, Technology, and much more! I homeschool my youngest two girls, so we are always looking for new ways to educate them.
PowerMyLearning is a great way for kids to play and get educated at the same time. It’s almost like tricking them. My girls are having so much fun playing the games that they have forgotten they are learning. Education should be fun and PowerMyLearning has made it fun!

Margaret loves making her own comics

One of the games, Dance Mat Typing, is now a part of our daily curriculum. Its helping my girls learn how to type using the home keys. I believe that typing should be an important part of education. Kids need to be able to efficiently use a computer and its keyboard. My girls are excited when I now tell them its typing time. The program we used before was boring.
Now a part of our daily school

The downside is that there are not many games available for the higher grades. A few of the subjects, like Your Life, only have one for the entire grade spectrum. The site has a banner stating that they are redoing a bunch of stuff and it will be finished in September 2013. I cannot wait to see the new changes!
useful information for our social studies class

If you follow PowerMyLearning on Pinterest you have access to even more educational information! They have some really interesting pins. I especially liked the science ones. You can also follow them via Facebook and twitter as well.
What makes this site even better is that it’s FREE! Parents sign your kids up at Parents SIGN UP HERE. Even Educators can sign up for a FREE account. Click HERE for the educators.
Zana created a roller coaster and learned about energy

FREE, FUN and EDUCATIONAL, can it get any better? Well yes it can. You get to create accounts and sign in’s for your children. As they play you are able to see how they are doing. The parents screen shows how long and what they have been playing. It is so AWESOME!
Parents screen

I would recommend PowerMyLearning to anyone that has a child and computer in their lives. It’s a great site to help the kids learn and have fun! Parents and educators can feel comfortable giving that extra screen time to the kids because it’s learning time. Go ahead, head on over to
Fun with music too!
