“Best Served Cold” by Tawdra Kandle is a great read. It is a well thought out and a wonderfully written book. Julia is a sophomore at Birch College in New Jersey studying Modern Journalism. Everything is just perfect in her life right now. Great friends, great job, a boyfriend who’s a senator`s son. He (Liam) loves he so much, and has even told her that this is his longest relationship ever (10 months). Jules worked for weeks planning a surprise party for him and everybody was going to be there. But instead of a surprise party for Liam, she was the one who got surprised. Liam walks in with his arms around a younger girl and casually announces that he must have forgotten to break up with Jules (in a sarcastic, “oops, my bad” kinda tone). Being dumped in front of everyone is beyond embarrassing for Jules; she feels hurt, stupid and used. Jules decides she will get him back one way or another, but how? Then, opportunity knocks. Julia’s journalism/social media professor assigns a project that each student is to start a blog about something they feel passionate about. Bingo! She decides to name the blog “Best Served Cold” and have anonymous girls tell their horror story of how guys did them wrong. “Best Served Cold’, like the Chinese proverb, you know? Because the girls telling their stories is like getting their revenge.”
Things are going along smoothly, the ex is starting to notice Jules again, her blog is getting a lot of hype, and then there is Jesse. Mr. tall, dark and handsome with dimples that can bring a girl to her knees! He is everything that Liam was not. Is getting revenge really worth taking a chance of ruining a new beginning with Jesse? Or could this whole revenge idea blow up in Jules’ face? Will Liam finally realize how childish he acts? And will Jesse stick around to the very end? Read it and find out.
I must make a side note on this book: the author’s writing style was smooth flowing and the words seemed to float right off the page. It was very easy to follow and written in such a way that I actually felt that I was right along side of the characters watching everything happen. I found myself smiling through most of the book because I really identified with the characters. It was such a joy to read such a relaxing (but not boring) book for once. It’s not often that I run across a book that the dialogue flows so well. I cannot wait for her next book “Just Deserts~Ava’s Story”.
***I WAS GIVEN A PROMOTIONAL COPY OF THIS BOOK TO READ IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST OPINION. I DO NOT BENEFIT FROM THIS IN ANY WAY.

Sometimes revenge is your only choice. . .
Julia worked for weeks planning the perfect surprise birthday party for her boyfriend, Liam, but that night, she was the one who got the biggest shock. He broke up with her in front of all their friends, humiliating her in the process.
Clearly revenge was in order.
The plan is simple. Make him jealous, win him back, and then crush his heart. Fair is fair. However, there is one little hiccup and he has curly brown hair and dimples.
Jesse is everything she wants. With him, she could almost forget her bruised heart. Almost. Julia has one choice: let Liam walk away after everything he did, or lose a chance at love in pursuit of payback.
