Acorn Squash
Yippee, it’s that time of year again, when we eat lots pumpkin and squash! I picked up a bunch of golden acorn squash. I decided to make them up the way my mom did when I was a kid. These are more like candy than veggie!
Ingredients:
4 Acorn squash
½ stick of butter
8 tsp of brown sugar
Sprinkling of nutmeg
Sprinkling of cloves
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Cut squash in half and remove seeds and stringy parts. Put them shell down on a baking sheet and add a pat of butter to each one.
Now add a spoon of brown sugar, sprinkling of nutmeg and cloves.
Bake for about 40 minutes.
We serve them just as it comes out of the oven. Only difference is that we smash the squash into all the juices!
