30 Day of Christmas Goodies Recipes
Some of you know the day after Thanksgiving as Black Friday. My family growing up always called it Turkey Fart Friday. In my household it’s known as the first day of Christmas baking.
I make goodies everyday for 30 days! Some of the favorites are: peanut brittle, caramels, chocolate covered cherry macaroons, and hidden mints. I also make all the traditional goodies and so many, many more.
So what do I do with all these treats? I package them up and give them as gifts for Christmas. My husband takes a few big trays to the Christmas party at work. I give them to the garbage men, mailwoman, neighbors, and of course family. Each year the list grows! This year I am up to about 80 people.
Now you may wonder how I keep it all fresh. That is simple……..the freezer! I bake all cookies first. They freeze well. You can even pull one out and eat it frozen if you want to sneak one. (shhhh don’t tell my family they don’t know this) After cookies I make the hard candies and then fudges. These don’t freeze but will stay fresh in an airtight container.
I bag them up with one of each treat. I always have a wonderful gift for that last minute gift too! Some of the harder cookies and goodies are reserved for special someones! As a child my grandparents always gave handmade gifts. I carry on that tradition with my goodies. It’s a gift from the heart!
This year I am going to share my recipes with you. 30 days of sweets and treats! This year make a few up and give them to someone special! Check back daily for a new recipe from November 23-December 22. So here is my 30 days of Christmas Goodies Recipes
